Contractors all risk insurance is very similar to construction insurance. The main difference between the two is that construction companies will take out construction insurance to cover the insurance needs of any construction projects which are ongoing whereas contractors all risk insurance will be taken out by construction companies who have been contracted by another company to complete some or all aspects of a specific construction project. Not only will the contractors' materials be insured against theft, damage and loss during transit but their project losses will also be covered in the event that losses delay or completely disrupt the entire project. Additionally, since contractors usually use contract workers to work on their contracts, high liability cover is considered essential. Workers who get injured on a construction site can, and often do, file very large law suits against their employers to compensate them for their injuries.
