In 2006, Thebe Risk Services and Prestasi Brokers merged, resulting in the
formation of Indwe Risk Services. Prestasi Brokers became a fully empowered organization
in April 2001, when Pamodzi Investment Holdings bought out a controlling share of
the company. Currently, Indwe Risk Services represents over 120 000 commercial,
corporate and individual clients.
In Xhosa, Indwe means Blue Crane, the South African National bird. According to
Xhosa tradition, warriors who were recognized for the valor and excellence were
awarded Blue Crane feathers to wear in their head dress. This symbol of strength
