The Professional Provident Society of South Africa (PPS) was established
in 1941. In 1972, the PPS decided that only certain graduates could qualify for
their products. Even though these rules had been amended over the years, to this
day, you can not become a member of PPS unless you have completed a four year degree
or multiple degrees adding up to four years of learning. In 2005, PPS Medical Scheme
Administrator (PTY) Limited was founded to administer Profmed Medical Aid.
Today, PPS belongs to its members and provides extraordinary insurance benefits
to its members, their families and associates to ensure peace of mind. PPS Insurance
solutions offer a tailored approach to each stage of a professional person’s life
