Founded in 1969, Profmed Medical Aid is a closed medical scheme which
caters exclusively to individuals with at least a four year degree or multiple degrees
that equate to four years of study. Currently, Profmed has over 24 000 members and
approximately 38 000 dependants who are reaping the benefits of a medical scheme,
tailored to suit a professional lifestyle.
Profmed Medical Aid currently has five different insurance options available to
qualifying members. These are applicable to family and individual policies. They
are:
ProPinnacle
The most extensive option, ProPinnacle offers complete peace of mind with comprehensive
hospitalization benefits in private wards, comprehensive day-to-day cover and in-
or out-of-hospital specialist and General Practitioner rates at 300% NRPL.
ProSecure Plus
ProSecure Plus offers comprehensive hospital rates and private maternity rates.
Chronic and day-to-day expenses are covered above the minimum prescribed benefits
and in-hospital specialist and General Practitioner rates are covers at 300% NRPL.
ProSecure
ProSecure offers comprehensive hospital care and day-to-day and chronic benefits
above the prescribed minimum benefits.
ProActive Plus
ProActive Plus offers comprehensive hospital care and day-to-day care at the prescribed
minimum benefits. In-hospital specialist and General Practitioner are covered at
300% NRPL.
ProActive
ProActive offers comprehensive hospital care and day-to-day at prescribed minimum
benefits.
