to non-white members who were not sufficiently covered under the traditional medical
aid schemes. Sizwe has since expanded to become 1 of the biggest open medical schemes
in South Africa.
Sizwe medical aid claims that its low-cost network options cater for people on a
tight financial budget. Sizwe offers their members the choice to select an option
that fits their budget and their healthcare needs. They also offer a number of ‘Integrated
Care’ programs designed to assist their members to manage their own health more
effectively and a variety of added-value products. Many of these programs and products
carry no additional cost and are integrated into the various options.
Sizwe Medical Fund members can also access
funeral cover
through Sizwe Medical Services which is administered by Moriting Employee Benefits
(Pty) Ltd.
